What Offmodel is
Offmodel Personal is a local-first macOS application intended for one user working on projects with AI across sessions or models.
Offmodel helps a person carry reviewed project state between AI sessions while keeping the local project workspace as the durable source of project state.
The continuity problem
Long-running AI work can lose continuity when conversation windows fill, a new session starts, a person changes models, or old and current project state become difficult to distinguish.
The intended workflow
- Select and verify the local project.
- Review the current objective, state, limitations and exact next action.
- Prepare a bounded, reviewable checkpoint.
- Open another AI session or model.
- Review the handoff and confirm continuation before work resumes.
Who it is for
Offmodel is intended for researchers, writers, students, consultants, developers, professionals, analysts, investigators, and small-business owners whose projects outlive one AI conversation.
Current release boundary
Offmodel 0.1.7 build 14 is available as a public test download for Apple Silicon Macs. It is a private release candidate, ad hoc signed, and is not yet Developer ID signed or notarized.
Download the build 14 test installer. Checkout, licence delivery and the commercial release are not yet live.
